Our third “E” stands for “Equip Disciple-makers”.  We believe Jesus has asked every one of His followers to not only be disciples, but to make them as well.  One of the jobs of a local church is to equip God’s people for this important work of disciple-making.  Here at New River, we have developed a disciple track that includes an introduction called “New Friends Lunch”; Life Groups; Leadership cohort; Ministry Teams; and a set of classes that we cycle through every year called “Foundations”.  In these classes we cover four areas of life where our faith gets lived out.  These four areas also are where many folks get tripped up, which is why we repeat them annually.  These four classes are: 

Marriage; Family; Finances; and, Theology.

Family Life's The Art of Parenting is a group bible study on parenting offered yearly.

BIBLE DOCTRINES

This class will cover the 20 foundational doctrines of the Christian Church.  You will learn what the Bible says about topics like: The Trinity; The Deity of Christ; The Church; Sin; the End Times; and 15 other Christian essentials.  You will be able to talk about them intelligently and know how to defend them from Scripture.  




BIBLICAL INTERPRETATION

In this class Pastor Robin will teach you how to discern the difference between Biblical poetry and history.  You’ll learn the difference between a “gospel” and an “epistle”.  And you’ll learn so much more!  The truth is, a student must read Genesis differently than they read Psalms.  But how?  Pastor Robin will equip you! 



Navigating your finances god's way

This 6-week, video driven study will give you an overview of how to handle money God's way. There will be discussion after the video as well as practical tools to apply what we are learning. Each registration comes with one workbook. We will be meeting Sundays from January 4 to February 8, 2026 after second service in the common area with lunch and childcare provided. Each meeting will be approximately 1.5-2 hours long.
